Returnable packaging at British Bird Food

British Bird Food care about all aspects of our business, we are a small family run business and the last thing we want to be doing is adding to the erosion of our environment. So right from the beginning of our on-line bird food business we have offered the option of returning the polythene bags we pack our wild bird food mixes in. Our wild bird food mixes come in either bulk bags, for economy and these are non-returnable. Or they come to you in our 5Kg polythene bags, these are re-sealable and come to you in a cardboard box. So it is easy for your to take the bags out of the box on your doorstep from the courier one at a time and take them to your storage area. You can then either decant them into a bin or you can leave them in the bags until you use the bird food. When you have finished with the bags, if you don't have a use for them at home or in the shed, then you can send them back to us free of charge. Our returnable polythene bags are printed with our returnable free post address so you simply fold them in half and put them inside one of the bags, seal it and send it through the Royal mail as usual. Our cardboard boxes are reusable at home and are great for storage, or they can be re-cycled, the tape we use to seal the box is paper based and can be left on the box for re-cycling. We mix and fill your wild bird seed by hand, no machines are involved, so this gives us the ideal opportunity to check every single bag for quality and of course keeps energy usage low too, although we do make our own electricity now by solar panel on the roof. When you do order some of our wild bird food, you can also ask for a free sample of another bird mix and we will happily include a sample of any of our wild bird mixes in your order.
