Bumble bee nesting box

The Bumble bee nesting box is a very important addition towards helping prevent the decline of the bees in this country. Bumble bees need a place to rest and store their food and they do so much good in the garden that we can't do without them! This Bumble bee nester comes with a length of pipe that can be added to the entrance hole to allow the entrance to become below ground, this is the preferred method of entry for the bees, the pipe attaches to the entrance hole by using a short length of tubing (all provided) and then the pipe is laid underground in a 'U' bend shape, the top of the pipe is set flush with the ground and the bees will use the pipe as an entrance route, thus giving extra protection from predators. The Bumble bee nesting box is made from extremely durable (FSC) timber with a plywood rof that slides to one side to allow viewing of the inside of the colony through a clear plastic window that can itself be removed for cleaning out the chamber when empty.
