Give your birds the best chance over the winter months with this super high energy mix.

Exclusive to BBF.

Plus free zone 1 delivery - what you see is what you pay!

New for 2021 - many customers feed Winter mix all year round, so from April to October we will add a little grit to your mix to help digestion and egg strength. As we pack on the day of dispatch, if you do not want the additional grit, then please let us know in the comments box during checkout.

Winter mix is mixed and packed on the day of despatch, guaranteeing you the freshest bird food possible.

We have developed this winter mix specifically to sit along side our Autumn mix, (also suitable for feeding throughout the winter). The Winter mix has extra ingredients for the small birds, without the fruit found in the Autumn mix, it has a very high nutritional value, giving your birds the chance to fill up. Winter mix will flow easily through a tube feeder or sit on a table or ground tray. It will appeal to all types of birds - a one stop shop!

Granulated peanuts, suet pellets, mealworms, sunflower hearts are a few of the tasty morsels in store for your garden birds with this exclusive BBF mix and it will provide all the energy they need to see them all the way through to Spring, when you can give them a change by switching over to Spring / Summer Mix. Winter mix will not grow or leave a mess.

Because Winter mix has a high proportion of suet pellets and mealworms, your garden birds will enjoy this mix at any time of the year. One thing we have learned about our mixes, is that the better the ingredients the more birds and wider variety of birds will come to your feeder. This mix has all the best ingredients to see your wild garden birds fed throughout the year.

This is the second 15k bag of the winter mix that I’ve bought from here, and it’s good stuff. I’ve previously bought my bird seed mix from the RSPB but the quality recently has been poor so it’s good to find a replacement. At the recent bird count I had 26 different varieties feeding from my feeders and table and they all enjoy this mixture.

I recently received my first order of the winter mix. This is really good stuff and all of my garden birds love it. Previously I’ve always bought my bird seed mixes from the RSPB but I’ve found that the quality has deteriorated recently to the point where I’ve ended up throwing some food away. I know where I’ll be buying from in future!

Winter mix is misleading - we feed this all year as it’s by far the favourite for the robins. They refuse to touch the juniper berries in “robin mix”, but they clear every scrap of this regardless of season.

I have bought this product several times and will continue to do so because it is loved by all the birds. I put it out in the evening and it is always gone by mid-morning next day. The birds love it - as do my chickens! Its a real treat for all the birds.

Feedback: Your Winter mix really is superb: enjoyed by everything from Greater Spotted Woodpeeckers to assorted Finches and Tits, with Dunnock, Sparrows and Robins between. It is the first time that I have come across a mix that does not clog the feeders. Speaking of which, the Onyx feeders are excellent and worth the extra cost for their ease of use. After using cheaper feeders for years, I have been surprised to see that many of the birds I have previously had to feed on the ground have adapted to the large ring perches on the Onxys and happily feed from them.
