A job for the holiday?

Whilst we all have a wonderful time over Christmas, nature doesn't stop. There are lots of things to do in the garden, pruning, digging, cleaning etc but it is important to remember the wild birds in your garden are there too and they are thinking not about Father Christmas, or New Year parties - only two things concern the wild birds. Food and breeding. So do spare a few minutes to clean and top up your wild bird food, feeders and accessories and take a little while out just to empty the nest boxes around your garden from last year, as it will soon be time for the birds to pair up and start the breeding process all over again. Blackbirds are one of the first to make new nests, but lots of other wild birds will be looking soon. See our help and advice page on nest box cleaning for some helpful tips on what to do. Take a look at our hygiene products and our Winter Mix is perfect for this time of year.
