Free suet ball feeder at BBF
Every box of 100 standard suet balls
comes with a free feeder worth £2.95
. The feeder is made of metal ind is a sturdy one for the price, by promoting in this way, we hope to
encourage the reduction of nets as the use of a feeder will allow feeding without nets.
Some small birds can become entangled in the net that comes with a suet ball and so British Bird Food offer the choice of suet balls with or without nets. It is not wrong to use nets, some people feed by hanging from hooks and you need nets to do this, it is just that we have experienced a bird getting his claws stuck in the net and that converted us to use a feeder instead and so we want to encourage this practice.
Feeding suet balls and other suet products such as pellets
and coco nut shells
filled with suet is a wonderful way to watch your wild garden birds
close up. They will come and feed for a long time as the suet is a high energy food for them and will see them through winter and summer months when they have to use a lot of energy just to survive or to raise their young.
