It gives me enormous pleasure to share with you some memories of the special day our family, the Braddick family and friends enjoyed in Cyprus last week,
First to say thank you to all of our customers for their patience and understanding while we were away as this caused some orders to be delayed, but we are back on top now. Belinda and I would also like to say a big thank you to all of those customers who contacted us by e-mail, phone, text and even post wishing us all well and giving their best wishes to Saffron and Will. It made us feel very special and part of a large group of friends.
Saffron and Will got married at Cape Greco national park on Wednesday 1st June at 3.00pm, this was the first wedding in two years to be held at this special place and there are a maximum of ten per year, so we were very privileged to be there. However there was a big surprise still to come. We were all lining up for the bridal walk, when a car pulled up (bearing in mind the location is the top of a cliff and we needed a 4 x 4 buggy to ascend the rough track) this was the Ayia Napa mayor turning up. We knew nothing about it, but it was such a special occasion that the Mayor himself decided he would conduct the proceedings. The local government had cleaned and decorated the gazebo for us and so it was all a fantastic privilege for us to be a part of.
I won't try to mention everyone, but the bridesmaids, ushers, Maids of honour and best men all played their part in preparing the venue or driving the bridal party (in a buggy! - we got lot's of waves from people!) or keeping the rings safe. Three readings and a harpist playing made the atmosphere beautiful and just what Saffron and Will hoped for.
A lovely ceremony was conducted by the Mayor at the end of which rings were exchanged and some gifts received from the municipality. The wedding certificate was signed and witnessed (this had to go off and be stamped and collected on Friday) a beautiful certificate to be treasured for life.
After the wedding everyone was invited back to Saffron and Will's villa and a superb meal of local food was enjoyed by all. A few speeches! and then it was party time - everyone having a super time with lot's of photographic evidence!
A few days rest and then back to reality. We are all so proud of the happy couple and the planning and organisation they took to make their day one very special day for us all.
Best wishes to Mr and Mrs Braddick xx
