Feeding birds while on holiday

How to feed your garden birds automatically.

We all enjoy our holidays, but it is a pain when you know your wild garden birds and other wildlife are relying on you for their supplements and then you have to worry about how to make sure they are fed whilst you are away. Sometimes we have a family member who does not come on holiday with us, and that is great as they can pop round and feed the various wildlife and birds in our garden. But we are not always so lucky and of course many households don't have people they can rely on, or are not close enough to visit every day. That is where the Auto feeder from Wingscapes comes in. Three easy steps to ensure your wild bird food is dispensed precisely and reliably while you are not at home. 1. Fill the feeder with your birds favourite bird food. 2. Set the timer to dispense the seed up to four times per day. 3. Sit back and enjoy the show as your birds get used to precise meal times and show up on time every time to eat the food you have provided. The same three steps apply when you are going away, the seed hopper is big enough to hold enough seed for several weeks and depending how much you feed each time (6 ounces a day lasts for 37 days) it will last long enough between refills for you to enjoy your break without worrying about your garden birds and wildlife. If you suspend the Auto Feeder an inch from the ground you can feed Hedgehogs and Squirrels as well. If you don't want to feed Squirrels - don't worry, the Auto Feeder is completely Squirrel proof. No electrics are involved, just four AA batteries (not included) and they will least for more than a year. Enjoy!
