What is a Robin's favourite food?

Posted by British Bird Food 16/06/2015 0 Comment(s)

Robin and Tit food - or something else?

The Robin is one of our favourite native British wild birds, but what is it's favourite food? We sell robin and Tit food, which contains lots of goodness ingredients, mealworms, sunflower heart chips, peanut granules and more, Robins love it, but in our shop we have lots of different wild bird food mixes and we have two local Robins who visit our open bins, they have the choice of lots of food mixes and all the way through the day they are dipping into the bins to feed themselves and their chicks. They have a choice of Blackbird and Thrush food, High energy no mess mix, Spring / Summer mix, Winter mix and all the straight seeds - so which one do they prefer? well to test them out we sometimes mix the positioning  of the bins (10Kg in each) and they are several different colours, but some are the same colour. The first preferred food is always the suet pellets, the next is mealworms and third comes Sunflower Hearts. So there we have the results of our Robins preferences - what about yours?
