Suet pellets for wild birds - are they the best?

If the suet in the pellets is Beef tallow, then this is an extremely good way to feed a high energy food to your wild garden birds, Mealworms are also very high protein food. But Suet pellets for birds are better value. It is essential to ensure they are from beef tallow as this is the best, Pork and other fats are no so good and are just a way of making the product cheaper. Feeding birds suet pellets is an expensive job, so you may find it better to mix them in with your wild bird food mixes. Although you may find the birds will throw out the seeds to get at the suet pellets and this speaks volumes for which the birds prefer and they know what is best for themselves after all.
