Homes for Hedgehogs

Posted by British Bird Food 30/04/2015 0 Comment(s)

Buy your garden Hedgehog a new home.

Hedgehogs are emerging now from their Winter hibernation, they have been around for a few weeks now and they are looking for food and lodgings. Hedgehogs often wander through gardens looking for slugs and snails, often during the day but at night also. If you leave a bit of food out for them then they will get used to knowing where it is and come back daily - on their rounds. As they get used to knowing there is a feed at your place then they will feel safer there and look for a home if they feel like it! Hedgehog homes come in three shapes and sizes, we have the Hoggitat at £21.99 and the Igloo at £29.99 and the Rolls Royce of Hedgehog homes the solid Oak Hedgehog House at £49.95. None of them require any set up, just find a nice quite spot with plenty of cover and place your Hedgehog house amongst the fawner, they all have waterproof roofs, so the Hogs won't get wet when they shelter there. They will take in their own bedding but if you want to put some dry leaves and moss inside they will appreciate it I am sure.
