Fresh water - essential bird care

Posted by British Bird Food 07/04/2014 0 Comment(s)
Feeding wild garden birds is a real pleasure, but it can also be an essential part of looking after the environment around us. Some people feed part of the year, some feed all year round. What ever your preference part of the responsible way to encourage and look after your garden wildlife is to provide a ready source of fresh, clean water for them to drink and bathe in. Most people do know about leaving a supply of water out for their garden birds, but it is always worthy of a mention as it can easily be overlooked. A tiny amount of water can be easily located around your feeding station, most stations have a water bowl, but you may also like to provide a bird bath or even a drinker. However you chose to do it, remembering a fresh water supply for your garden wildlife and wild birds is as rewarding as providing wild bird food, this time of year you will start to see the parents of young fledglings bring their offspring to your garden and teach them where to find an easy source of nourishment. They will also be showing them how to drink and bathe. During Winter months, you can use Ice Free natural freezing inhibitor to prevent the water freezing over. After the Winter months and about every month through the summer use Ark-Klens to keep your bird bath free from dirt and algae. [gallery]
