Hedgehog wake up time

Posted by British Bird Food 17/03/2014 0 Comment(s)
With our lovely Spring weather and warm day time temperatures, the Hedgehogs are rising from their slumber and now is the time we should be thinking about them. After a good Winter hibernation the Hedgehogs will want to stretch their legs and find some clean fresh food and water. Both are easily provided for them, but there are a few thing to be  considered when catering for your garden visitors. Put out the Hedgehog food and water in a place where they are not threatened or vulnerable to attack. Try not to encourage the Hedgehogs to your garden if they have to cross a road. If you light up the area they are feeding in, use very dim lighting and avoid the use of motion sensor lights as these tend to be bright and will frighten the Hedgehogs. A torch light shone through a window should be sufficient. At British Bird Food you can find all you need in terms of catering for our spiky friends, we sell Hedgehog houses, Hedgehog food and the snack bowl for them to enjoy it in! [gallery]
