Suet pellets for birds - high energy food

Posted by British Bird Food 11/10/2013 0 Comment(s)
Suet products of any kind are needed by your garden birds as the weather turns colder now. Suet pellets are a form of processed suet that can be fed on your bird table or through a tube feeder. The best way to buy them is to buy them as a straight food and then this leaves you to decide the amount you mix in with your bird seed or if you prefer to feed separately. All of our suet products do not contain palm oil and are made from only beef fat. These two points are important. To save the rain forest because the palm oil is extracted from trees in environmentally sensitive areas of the world and Beef fat because the birds prefer this to pork or other meat fats. Other suet products we sell are, suet balls, suet blocks, suet cylinders, suet filled coco nuts, as well as the suet pellets. All of the above will boost your garden birds energy levels at this time of year, they need a boost right now as the food they have been getting in the fields is now drying up and they are recovering form the breeding season. With the cold weather about to set in the wild bird population need to be helped through our cold British winters. If you do feed suet pellets be careful not to get them wet as they will congeal into one mass and the birds will not be able to get them as readily. If you don't have a  tube feeder only put out sufficient pellets for one feeding session at a time. You will find all sorts of birds will come to your feeder to feed on the suet pellets, Goldfinch, Brambling, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackbird, Thrush, and many others as well as the larger birds. We keep four varieties of suet pellets in stock ready for next day delivery. Fruit, Insect,. Berry and Apple flavours, we only use the best supply and so we are assured that we can provide a consistently good quality product at sensible prices to you and your birds for a long time to come - happy feeding!
