Good afternoon to you all, we have another five exciting facts about our garden birds for you to have a read of this week: Did you know... The Bullfinch's beak is especially designed to feed from the buds of fruit trees, their favorites being Pears and Morello Cherries. Did you know... It is hard to tell the sex of a Swift, even when they are in hand. Did you know... There are around 2.5 million breeding pairs of Wood Pigeon in the UK. Did you know... There are around 20,000 pairs of Tawny Owl living in Britain. Did you know... In the early 1930's only 2 pairs of breeding Red Kite were known to live in the British Isles.
