Bees in the nestbox!

Posted by British Bird Food 01/07/2012 0 Comment(s)
We discovered a few days ago that we've got bees in the nest box we have on our Fir tree. The box has been there a few years now and we have had a few feathered friends in there from time to time but never a colony of bees! They must like the warm habitat and all the nest material left by the previous inhabitants. Thankfully, they have picked the box furthest from the house and so we are not troubled by them. The dog doesn't seem to like them though, I wonder why! We must see if we have any more wildlife in the other nestboxes we have dotted around the garden. We like to accommodate all wildlife here at British Bird Food! Don't forget we have a wide range of nest boxes on our website if you would like to attract the wild birds to your garden, as well as the fabulous Solar Insect Theatre, a must for all wildlife fans. You may even get your own colony of bees! They are so interesting to sit and watch during the evening when they are buzzing around getting ready to settle down f or the night. Follow us on Twitter @BritishBirdFood or leave us a comment and let us know if you have any wildlife making their home in your garden.
