It's time to listen to the morning birds again!
Laying in our slumber at 6am with our window open is just lovely at this time of year, as the wild garden birds around us start to make their voices heard.
Blackbird, Thrush, Robin and Wren all play a part in the beautiful morning song that is the dawn chorus, it will only get louder now until June / July so there are lots of opportunities to set the alarm early and take a few minutes alone in a quite part of your neighborhood to sit and listen to nature at work - it's free and healthy so why not get and do it?
There is lots of activity in the garden at the moment, Blackbirds scurrying around finding food for their young ones, Goldfinches in teams of six and eight on the feeders, impressing everyone with their seven colours all in full bloom, Wren and Blue Tit exploring every nook and cranny of the garden and buildings for an opening suitable for a nest, not to mention the Hedgehogs, busy cleaning up the fallen bird food on the ground through the night.
To encourage life to your garden, just check around to see if there are any predators looking for the same thing! and provide fresh clean water in a container each day. Then if you want to, you can provide food for the birds and animals, this is a question of what you would like to encourage into your garden, from Hedgehogs to foxes and Badgers even deer in some parts of the countryside. If we can be of any help, please do call to see what food we sell for the particular birds you would like to see in your garden, it's part of our company make up - speaking to customers!
